CADORIGEN is an independent, non-profit institution with a cultural, artistic and educational nature. Founded in the city of Santo Domingo with the purpose of creating bridges between artists and educators from Haiti and the Dominican Republic, among other Spanish-speaking, Francophone and Creole-speaking countries. We work on three main axes, which are human rights, comprehensive education, and multicultural and social integration.
From our foundation to date we have carried out and co-organized various artistic and educational activities between the Dominican Republic and Haiti, such as Transdo, Plent, Prélude, collaborating with various institutions in both countries, the Spanish Cultural Center, the French Alliance of Santo Domingo, the Cultural Center Layite, Studio Ti Foli, Teatro a la Mala, Fundación Arte y Cultura Raíces, ABAD GALERY Anticanon, Institute of Caribbean Cultures, etc.
Co-founder of AfrOeste, a multinational network (active in ten countries) of professionals and state and private institutions dedicated to the protection and dissemination of African and Afro-descendant cultures around the world.
Among the main focuses and objectives are the following;
• Maintain the creation and development of ties with institutions, professionals and/or personalities from the educational and artistic world of both countries, promoting a culture of peace.
• Create, coordinate and develop binational projects for exchanges in both countries of the island focused mainly on issues such as human rights, gender equality, integration, among others.
